Angela Gugle Parsons Named Vice President for Donor Services at The Columbus Foundation

COLUMBUS, OH (January 13, 2016)—Douglas F. Kridler, president and CEO of The Columbus Foundation, announced today that Angela Gugle Parsons, J.D., CAP®, has been named vice president for Donor Services and Development at the Foundation.

As The Columbus Foundation’s chief development officer, Ms. Parsons will lead the Donor Services and Development team while continuing to work with financial advisors and individuals, families, and businesses in creating philanthropic funds and planned gifts to strengthen and improve the community.

“Angela’s knowledge of the Foundation and her extensive background in law and finance is invaluable to our work with donors and their legal and financial advisors,” Kridler said. “With Angela leading the donor services team, we will continue to enhance our role as the philanthropic advisor to donors who want to make a difference in the lives of others.”

Following Ms. Parson’s role as an estate, business, and tax attorney at Kegler Brown Hill + Ritter, she joined the Foundation in 2007 as a gift planning officer. Before being named vice president, Ms. Parsons held two consecutive positions as associate director and director of Donor Services and Development. In her previous roles, she managed the growth of the Foundation’s Center for Corporate Philanthropy and Scholarship Funds.

“The opportunity to further serve the Foundation in this new role is an honor,” Ms. Parsons said. “I have the privilege of working with the most talented team of professionals. Together, we assist our donors to improve the smart and open community I am proud to call home.”

In addition to her previous role at Kegler Brown, Ms. Parsons was a tax manager for Deloitte. She holds a bachelor’s degree of business administration from the University of Notre Dame, where she was a member of the university’s women’s swim and diving team and a three-year monogram-winning diver. She also holds a juris doctor degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

Ms. Parsons is chair-elect of the Columbus Estate Planning Council, past-president of the Central Ohio Planned Giving Council, and serves on the membership committee of the Society of Financial Services Professionals. Additionally, she is a member of the Worthington Planned Giving Council, Columbus and Ohio Bar Associations, Olentangy Education Foundation, and is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Columbus.
