Clark Kellogg appointed to the Governing Committee; Dwight E. Smith named Chairman
Columbus, OH (December 11, 2019)—The Columbus Foundation has announced the appointment of officers and members to serve on its Governing Committee in 2020, following the Committee’s board meeting held earlier today.
Appointed as the newest member of the Committee is Clark Kellogg, a standout basketball star for The Ohio State University and Indiana Pacers who has been a CBS Sports college basketball game and studio analyst for the past 25 years.

Kellogg, a native of Cleveland, attended Ohio State from 1979-1982 and was named the Big Ten's MVP in 1982. He is a former first-round draft pick of the Pacers (1982) and played five seasons with the team before chronic knee problems forced him to retire. Kellogg received his marketing degree from Ohio State in 1996 and resides in Westerville with his family.
Within the community, Kellogg supports a variety of youth- and faith-based programs and nonprofit organizations and volunteers with organizations such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes, United Way, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors for First Merchants Corporation and First Merchants Bank, and previously served on the Board of Trustees at The Ohio State University.
Dwight E. Smith, President and CEO of Sophisticated Systems, Inc., was elected to serve a one-year term as Chairman of the Governing Committee. Smith has served as a member of the Committee since 2012. Nancy Kramer, a member of the Committee since 2014, is Chief Evangelist of IBM iX, as well as the Founder of Resource/Ammirati, She was elected to serve a fourth term as Vice Chairman.
Governing Committee Members continuing to serve in 2020 are George S. Barrett, Joseph A. Chlapaty, Jeffrey W. Edwards, Michael P. Glimcher, Lisa A. Hinson, and Katie Wolfe Lloyd.
Retiring from the Committee is Matthew D. Walter, who completes nine years of service at the end of 2019, including three years as Chairman, and two years as Vice Chairman.
